Products & monitors

A product is a labelled group of monitors on your status page. Products turn a long flat list of checks into a readable, organized page.

Why group with products

Clarity — visitors scan "Core Platform", "Payments", "Email" instead of raw hostnames.
Rollup — a section communicates the health of a whole area at a glance.
Focus — hide low-level checks behind a meaningful heading.

Setting it up

Create products under Products in the console.
Assign each monitor to a product (its category) when you create or edit it.
Order products so the most important appear first.

Note

A monitor that isn't assigned to a product still appears on the page under a default section. Assigning products is optional but recommended once you have more than a handful of monitors.
